About the Club

Bayside Football Club was the brainchild of Stewart & Tracey Aitchison and, alongside Alan Webster and after 6 months of planning, we had our first training session in Dalgety Bay Primary School hall on 3rd March 2003. 13 members belonging to the 1993 age group came along that night, but the club expanded quickly. As more and more children joined, we expanded the age range giving kids the opportunity to play for Bayside FC.

Those events set the ball in motion, and over the past 20 years we have rapidly grown and now have 29 teams ranging from Over 35’s to "the Minikickers" - our youngest age group.

We also have a Girl’s branch of the club, which currently has over 120 members. These teams are run by over 80 dedicated club officials who are all volunteers developing the talents of nearly 500 players.

The emphasis at the club is firmly on development and fun, and we welcome along all children regardless of ability and our main objective is making sure we can supply affordable football for all families.

Our club motto is "FUN, FRIENDSHIP & FOOTBALL" - each aspect as important as the others.

Although at the older age groups the competitive nature of the leagues inevitably leads to a more results based mind-set, we hope that these founding values still have an important role throughout the entire club.

The Team colours were originally Royal Blue & Orange, however as these were very popular colour choices we converted to a Sky Blue custom made strip used by the entire club. Our away kit is Red and the training kit is Dark Blue supplied by Macron.

We also have a very active social element to the club and try to organise events throughout the year which suit the whole family. These include our Race nights, Quiz Nights, Team bonding days and of course our Player of the Year awards. This element of the club is extremely important to us as it develops a sense of community and camaraderie, establishing links between different age groups and bonding the club as a whole. The club also supports other local charities within our community by holding our annual golf day with all donations donated to local groups.
